Type: Complete ready-to-assemble kit
Material: Smooth Western Red Cedar, Appearance Grade, finely sanded, kiln-dried. Also available in Pressure Treated Pine (price is approx. 17% less than smooth cedar) contact us for pricing.
How measured and quoted: The quoted dimensions are the roof span/outside face of the posts. Example: A 10x12 size has a roof span/outside face of post measurement of 10x12 and post centers of 9'5"x 11'5".
Posts: 8x8 nominal (7"x7" actual) If you choose a post height of 8'-0", the bottom of the headers is 7' 5". Taller post heights are available if you desire.
Number of posts: The 16x16 size is the largest size with only 4 posts. Larger sizes require a middle post, unless you upgrade to heavier timbers.
Headers: The perimeter headers are (3)2x8. The inside 2x8 is notched to accept the rafters
Rafters: Vertical 2x6 rafters at 8" on center Rafters can span up to 16' outside face of post, 15'5" post center measurement
The rafters are stationary (non-moveable).
Hardware: Galvanized steel hardware. All hardware is included in the kit. Stainless steel hardware is available for a small up charge.
Post anchoring: Heavy Duty Post brackets are included.
