The thermoset process makes for an extremely strong and durable material. Thermoset fiberglass composite is lightweight, but pound for pound stronger than steel. It requires no internal supports; it is so strong it supports itself. Unlike wood, it does not sag under its own weight. And it is 100% waterproof! A 10 inch square post has a weight bearing capacity in excess of 6,000 lbs.
