The City of Index, WA contacted us in February of 2018, asking us to create for them a pavilion that would create a permanent shelter within Doolittle Park. They intended to use the pavilion for meetings, fairs, etc. After discussing their needs, we designed this 18x26 Red Cedar Pavilion with open gables. The location demanded a wind speed load of 110 mph, and snow load of 42.5 psf. This required we incorporate heavy timbers into the design. The Town also requested shop-applied cedar stain, and 40 year metal panel roofing (Evergreen color), and three electrical packages.
